Real Weddings - Roisin & Andrew

Real Weddings - Roisin & Andrew

We would like to share with you the wonderful wedding of one of our real brides Roisin. Roisin wore our Ariel earrings on her wedding day, such a beautiful glowing bride. Roisin and Andrew fell in love with Rathsallagh Country House. Following on from the classic and elegant style of the house they themed their wedding with natural colours, greys and pastels. The photographer on the day was Hannah McKernan.

Roisin & Andrew were together 7 years when they got married. They met at a mutual friends birthday in Liverpool. Andrew is from Liverpool and Roisin was teaching in Kent at the time and had made the trip to Liverpool.

On the first night in their new home, Andrew rushed home and set everything up before Roisin came home. When she got home there was music playing and candles lit. She heard a song playing and was running in to tell him how much she loved it (Ed Sheeran – Thinking out loud) and he was on one knee. Roisin said yes.

They were married on 4th August 2018 at St. Nicholas of Myra Church, Dunlavin, Co. Wicklow and the reception after was at Rathsallagh Country House. They had 105 guests and it took just over a year to plan. So many pretty pastel shades throughout.

Roisin's dress was by Divine Atelier, shoes were by Ted Baker and the wedding veil was my something borrowed. The bridesmaids dresses were by Mori Lee and the suits were French Connection.

Special moments the couple shared involved Roisin walking down the aisle and saying her vows in front of all their family and friends and seeing Andrew at the altar waiting for her.

They advised other couples to let whatever happens on the day be and not let any little details that go wrong annoy you or spoil the most magical day. They prepared for cold and rain as it was in Ireland however the sun shone all day.

We wish them all the best in married life!
